Every CorkYogis yoga mat purchased makes a contribution towards one girl's training in a course of your choice. Help us give more girls a future.

CorkYogis standard cork yoga mat provides an amazing non-slip, anti-bacterial and natural surface for your yoga practice with grip that actually increases as you sweat.

The best styles for this mat are hot/bikram yoga, vinyasa, ashtanga and power yoga.

Our mats are also great for Pilates and any sort of sweaty cardio exercises. Why should yogis have all the fun!

Directions for use: lay your standard CorkYogis mat flat with the rubber side down. The rubber has small ridges in the bottom layer to make the mat grip to the floor effectively. Start your practice on either a dry mat or by using your CorkYogis extra grip spray bottle to spritz where your hands and feet go for an unstoppable grip from the very beginning.

Size (inches): 68 x 24, 0.12 inches thick

Size (mm): 1727 x 609, 3mm thick

Weight: 2kg

1mm sustainable, natural cork

2mm non-slip, flexible rubber bottom

Cork layer on top, from cork trees in Portugal. Non-slip rubber bottom for easy rolling.

Easy to roll up like a conventional yoga mat. Do not fold or crease your CorkYogis cork yoga mat.

Easy to clean surface: roll out flat and wipe down the surface with warm water with soap, a standard cleaning spray can also be used. Leave out until the surface is dry, then roll up as usual. Roll so that cork is on the outside and the rubber surface is on the inside of the mat.

Review by Suryadarshini, Yoga Teacher:

It doesn't move on the floor

Whether I'm jumping, shifting weight, or pivoting, the mat doesn't shift around

It doesn't bunch up

Whether I'm doing wide legged poses where I'm pushing my legs apart or an arm balance, the mat doesn't bunch up underfoot or underarm

It sticks!

Downward dog, chataranga, the aforementioned arm balances - I can hold them all without shifting - also, one of my students with sweaty hands and feet said the mat stopped her from slipping

Thick vs thin

I like the thicker mat better for home use; I feel super grounded with it. But the thinner mat is more portable, lighter, and easier to shift around on the floor when I move the mat to the wall, etc

Ethical dimension

Obviously love the cause that CorkYogis donates money to: getting girls out of sexual exploitation and providing them with skills to find alternative ways to live

Aesthetic

Definitely an eco-looking mat; it's not pink, patterned, or shiny! but I love the way it feels, certainly more than the little foamy 'squares' you get on cheaper mats
