Mandala Yoga Mats combine all the qualities of the world's best yoga mats - cushioning, more space, ultra grip and alignment guidelines - with a beautiful mandala design to aid your meditation and inner transformation.
Mandala as a meditation aid - mandala in Sanskrit means circle. Meditating on a mandala works as a tool on our spiritual journey, to bring about inner peace and profound inner transformation.
Ultra grip - this natural rubber PVC free mat has a thin top layer that will keep you from sliding around in your yoga class, even when you're really sweaty!
Alignment guidance - whether you're a beginner or a teacher, the central line will keep you symmetrical and balanced no matter how twisty your yoga class.
Extra cushioning - the 4mm cushioning will protect your joints as you move through your yoga practice, and keep you comfy in sitting postures.
More space - our yoga mats are 185cm long and 68cm wide (standard yoga mats are 182cm long and 60cm wide) giving you more space to move freely. No more having to constrain your limbs inside your mat during Savasana (unless you are well over 6 feet tall - in which case, buy two?!).
Non-toxic - our yoga mats are made with natural rubber and are PVC free.
Meditating on your mandala
The Mandala Meditation is simple and relaxing. Follow these steps and let your journey begin:
1. Select your mandala and set an intention.
2. Find a comfortable sitting position and begin to breathe slowly and deeply, while stilling your mind.
3. Gently gaze at the mandala and relax your eyes on it. Allow the image to go slightly out of focus.
4. Concentrate your mind on the shapes, movements and colours of the mandala. If distracting thoughts arise, let them flow away and gently bring your focus back.
5. Stay here for 3-5 minutes, or as long as you want. When you are ready, slowly bring your attention back to the world around you.
Caring for your mat
Roll your mat with the colour on the outside to keep your yoga mat in optimal conditions, allowing it to properly dry and keep its form.
Your Mandala Yoga Mat is designed to be really absorbent and hygienic, so after every sweaty practice, let it dry for a few minutes before rolling it up, it wont take long.
To clean the Mandala Yoga Mat we recommend mixing one drop of dish soap diluted into a large bowl of water. Then gently wipe the quick-drying surface of the mat. Do this only after 8-10 uses, depending on how much you sweat. Do not soak it when cleaning it. Do not dry in the sun.
Avoid using any oil-based products over the absorbent top layer of the Mandala yoga mat, as it is porous, it will penetrate and stain.
